The Recovery

I guess naturally we take everything for granted, as if its always going to be there. On this day some might say it was another unfortunate event of my life, but I felt like it was more than just a coincidence.
During a football match, my left leg got broken with 2 complete fractures in both the tibia and fibula. After waiting for an hour I finally arrived in hospital. Only to wait another day before I could go into surgery. A metal rod was inserted through my tibia and doctors said I wouldn't be walking for 3 months, and a full recovery may take up to a year.
I guess in some ways I sort of expected this to happen, but never thought it actually would. I mean....I've been through so many difficulties and faced so much adversity, the only one not of my list was a significant physical injury.
